THE STRATEGY OF THIS MINISTRY FOR 2025

1. Make Jesus Known 📣

We celebrate bold evangelism, both in the public sphere & within the life of local churches. Our primary objective is to preach the Gospel & empower believers to do the same. Our ministry is creating new opportunities for the Gospel, such as evangelistic events & gatherings.

2. Stand up for the Truth ☝️

In recognising that God’s ways are our source of freedom, our second objective to present a clear but respectful case for Christian values. We strive to see the voice of truth & justice amplified through God’s people. We recognise the call to engage the culture in dialogue.

3. Worship God Everywhere 🙏

God is worthy to be worshipped in all places and at all times! Therefore, our third objective is to extravagantly praise Christ in new arenas - shifting the atmosphere. We recognise that anointed worship is not only a witness to an unbelieving world, but is part of the call to honour the Lord.

OUR THEOLOGY FOR MINISTRY

We adhere to Elim’s statement of Christian faith. We believe in the unity of all believers across the world who love the Lord Jesus Christ and are faithful to true Gospel proclamation.

The guiding theology of this ministry is that God has commissioned His people to reach a dying world with His invitation to eternal life.

God wants heaven full of people who have responded to his call - He loves and wants all people! (John 3:16). God wants us ALL involved in this mission as His willing partners.

We believe in modern day apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors & teachers. Ephesians chapter 4 in the bible explains how the ‘Five-Fold’ Ministry of these offices exist to equip all believers for God’s service.

It takes anointing and power to send the church out into its true calling! Pastors and teachers will always benefit from those who are prophetic, apostolic or evangelistic. This the New Testament model of the gifts & callings working together within the body of believers. Someone once said ‘We can’t expect the body to work without all five of its vital organs’.

Another way to look at it is with our Highways logo - a gear box of a car. It represents the Fivefold ministry of apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers as five gears who are called to shift God’s people into the right gear at the right time. When it’s time to be more evangelistic, God raises evangelists.

The unique calling of Pastor Sam Collinson & Highways ministry is dynamic worship and evangelism. The evangelist goes the way and shows the way! Our aim is to both preach the Gospel & to equip others.

Not all Christians hold the office of evangelist. And yet, the commission to preach the Gospel to make disciples applies to all Christians.

In the same way, not all believers are called to be church leaders & pastors. Yet all have a real ministry to support the church to thrive.

The bottom line is that God’s church can no longer hide with the walls of a building- we must go out to the highways and byways - meaning the unreached places of the world.

We are going to ‘bring church’ to the people who don’t go to church. This means gatherings on the streets or in other locations, wherever God leads. The public worship of God is a powerful message in itself. Worship creates a faith-filled atmosphere where anything is possible!

We believe in the ongoing ministry of the Holy Spirit to heal, save and deliver all people into true freedom. As the Gospel is preached God has promised to confirm His word with powerful, supernatural signs. See Mark 16 for what Jesus said on this.
